Bro Dyfi Community Renewables
Bro Dyfi Community Renewables is a community energy co-operative registered under the Industrial and Provident Societies Acts. We were established in 2001 to develop community-owned renewable energy projects. Our first community owned wind turbine has been running since 2003, using money raised from a share offer. After an epic struggle, our second wind turbine (a Nordtank 500kW machine) started generating in December 2010 (rather later than originally planned!). The photo diary of construction progress is here. If you are interested in buying or selling shares, please contact us here. We cannot sell you the shares ourselves, but we can put you in touch with current members wishing to sell theirs, or people wishing to buy yours. Latest news (April 2012) Nordtank generation in 2011:
